The baby's eyes are closed, with facial features outlined, including a round face and visible ears. Their hair is detailed with fine lines. The baby is swaddled in a patterned blanket with floral shapes. The arms are tucked in, creating a cozy impression. The background shows a grid pattern, resembling quilted fabric or crib bedding. The image is monochromatic, with shades created through etching.
