Artist, Venetian, 1697 - 1768

The etching depicts a scene with a winding path and a small bridge crossing over a gap in a hilly landscape. The horizon shows a distant tree line and brush. The linework creates depth and form with hatching for shading. The color palette is monochromatic, with black ink on a pale background. A figure sits by the path with a fishing rod, while horse-drawn carriages and other figures can be seen in the distance traveling along the road.
