This is an engraving depicting a man from the waist up. The man is facing left and is wearing a high-collared coat with elaborate designs. His facial features include a pronounced nose, thin lips, and forward-gazing eyes. His hairstyle is characteristic of the 18th century, with neatly combed back hair tied at the nape of his neck with a ribbon. The image includes a large oval frame with laurel leaves and an inscription identifying the person as "FRANCISCUS I D G. ROM. IMP. HUNG. ET BOH. REX. ARCHID. AUS." A decorative crown tops the frame, while below sits a cushion displaying a crown, a scepter, and a sword. A large bird, possibly an eagle, is on the right side of the frame. The background has a cross-hatched pattern, and the base of the bust features an inscription in Latin.
