This is a drawing of two elderly figures. One is standing and the other is seated on a throne-like structure. The standing figure leans on a long stick and appears frail and contemplative. The seated figure wears a crown and is engrossed in reading a document. The scene suggests an interaction between a ruler and a subject. The background is softly shaded. The black and white colors with various shades of gray highlight textures and contrasts, emphasizing the difference in postures and expressions of the two characters.
