This is a drawing of two human figures and two horse sketches. The drawing consists of delicate pen work on paper, depicting two human figures in the bottom part of the composition, with one placing a hand on the shoulder and stomach of the other. The figures are drawn with fine details on their musculature. Above them, there are two lightly sketched horses with riders, rendered in a more abstract and rapid style. The drawing showcases an interest in anatomy and motion, with an emphasis on line and form.

Moscardo family, Verona, as a part of the so-called Museo Moscardo, beginning in the 16th century; probably Teresa Moscardo, who married Marcantonio Miniscalchi, Verona, and then by descent to the Minischalci-Erizzo collection, which was dispersed at the beginning of the 20th century.
