The scene is depicted from a slightly elevated point of view, offering a broad perspective of the townscape. The horizon is placed near the top edge of the image, where the roofs of buildings meet the sky. Nestled on the horizon are the towers and steeples of a town, with a prominent tower visible on the left side marked "Schließtauchtieder." The etching employs fine, detailed lines characterized by meticulous hatching, typical of engraving techniques from this period. Closest to us are several figures engaged in activity within an enclosed area that appears to be farmland or fields protected by wooden fences. In the distance, beyond the fields, densely packed buildings and structures can be observed, suggesting a bustling township. The overall color palette is monochrome, with the absence of color emphasizing the intricate detailing and line work in the historic urban representation. Above the town scene, a large decorative cartouche includes elegantly drawn text framed by ornate scrollwork and cherubic figures.
