The image shows two elderly women seated from the waist up. They are dressed in long, cloaked garments with overlapping fabric. The woman on the left has a headscarf and clasped hands, with a solemn expression. The woman on the right also wears a headscarf and has her hands resting on a sack. The background depicts textured wood paneling on one side and faint foliage on the other. The image has a rustic, monochromatic tone with detailed etching lines.
