The series of black and white photographs show rugged mountains and pastoral scenes viewed from varying altitudes. Images 133, 134, and 135 feature a low angle in a rocky gorge with trees leaning toward a waterway. Images 136, 137, 138, 141, and 144 show people engaged in agricultural activities on sloped fields. Images 139 and 140 focus on the Matterhorn peak against a clear sky. Images 142 and 143 depict a valley with dense woodland and individuals working. The color palette captures contrasting light and shadow in the landscapes and human figures.
