This is a photograph of a butcher shop with hanging carcasses in the display. The photograph is in black and white, capturing the dimly lit interior of the shop where sizable cuts of meat hang prominently from hooks. The foreground is filled with a soft blur, contrasting with the sharper details of the meat and the illuminated interior space. Signs and various meat products are visible, hinting at the commercial nature of the setting. The lighting from above highlights the textures and contours of the meat while leaving other areas in shadow.
