The floor is tiled, and the background is filled with a variety of products on shelves. Different people are seen moving around, focused on their tasks. The photograph is in black and white. The shopping carts are of the type typically used in American supermarkets and the signage on one cart reads "Property of Mayfair Please Do Not Remove From Store Area."
