The image displays a rural roadside scene in black and white. In the foreground, there are three wooden crosses on metal stakes surrounded by rough grass and weeds, hinting at a memorial site. The ground is uneven and sparsely covered with dry grass. In the background, an asphalt road runs horizontally, with a second road or rail track parallel to it in the distance. Further back, there are rolling hills covered with vegetation, blending into a flat, overcast sky. The overall mood of the scene is solemn and quiet.
