Artist, French, 1821 - 1868

This is a drawing of mechanical or architectural sketches on aged paper. Various line drawings, shapes, and notations are present throughout the image. The upper left corner contains a flame-like figure, while the top center shows a dome shape with a spout. Horizontal and vertical lines intersect on the page, and there are additional light sketches and hatchings for shading. The simple lines and smudged shading suggest an early conceptual design phase.
