This is an etched portrait of a man showing the upper half of his body. The man is turned halfway to the right, looking directly at the viewer. He has medium-length wavy hair, a neatly trimmed beard, and mustache. His clothing is detailed, with a large collar, a dark cape over one shoulder, and an ornate crest with a star on his chest. He wears a buttoned vest. The background has finely hatched lines, and the portrait is framed within an ornamental octagonal border. Below the portrait, there is a coat of arms within a crest.
