The image shows an engraved portrait of a man from the waist up, seated and facing slightly to the left. He has a long face with prominent cheekbones, a mustache, and a small goatee. His hair is shoulder-length, wavy, and appears light, possibly graying. He is wearing a dark robe with a row of buttons down the center and a white collar with lace detailing. There is no visible jewelry, and he is not holding any objects. The man is within an oval frame, which is set against a background of horizontal lines. Below the frame is an inscription with text in French. The overall style is detailed and reminiscent of classical portraiture engraving.
