The image shows a lake surrounded by mountains. The horizon is towards the top of the image with mountains meeting the sky. The viewer looks out over the water. A sailboat is on the left side, and a smaller vessel with figures, including a goat, is closer. The style is a detailed sketch with brushstrokes and hatching creating texture and shadow on rocky surfaces and foliage. The palette is monochrome, emphasizing the landscape and the figures' interaction with the environment.
