The image is a sepia-toned print depicting a bustling village scene from a slightly elevated point of view. The horizon is high in the composition, with a church spire rising into the sky. Buildings with thatched roofs and wood-plank structures are spread throughout the scene, and trees are also present. Close to the viewer, there are logs, a wooden barrel, patches of grass, and ducks swimming in a waterway. Villagers are shown engaging in various activities, such as riding horses, tending to carts, and conversing. In the distance, intricate linework is visible on the trees and buildings. The scene has a warm, monochromatic palette.
