Winslow Homer

Artist, American, 1836 - 1910

The image depicts a sketch of two men mounted on horses. Both men are seated upright and visible from the waist up. The man on the left wears a wide-brimmed hat and a mustache, while the man on the right wears a side cap and a clean-shaven face. They both wear military-style uniforms with double-breasted coats. The sketch is set against a plain background with faint outlines suggesting terrain, and there are handwritten notes at the bottom of the image.
