The image shows an etching of an elderly man, depicted from the shoulders up. His body is turned slightly to the left, in a three-quarter view. The man has a weathered face with visible wrinkles on his forehead and around his eyes, a defined nose, and a downturned mouth. His hair is thinning, revealing balding. He wears a garment with a fur collar. There are no objects or jewelry around him. The background is intricately shaded, and there is a signature and the year "1631" in the upper left corner of the image.
