This painting shows a man facing the right. He has pale skin, a prominent nose, deep-set eyes, high cheekbones, a wrinkled brow, dark eyebrows, and a small mole near his mouth, which is set in a neutral expression. There is a hint of purple under his eye. The man has a thick beard and short, dark brown hair. He is dressed in formal attire, with a dark suit over a white collared shirt, and black bow tie. The background is black.
