This is a painting of an empty swimming pool with poolside chairs. The painting features a serene depiction of a swimming pool enclosed by a wall in soft pastel tones. The pool is shown without water with shades of soft blues and greens. Next to the pool are three sun loungers in matching pale colors, casting shadows on the ground. The background is a flat, peach-colored wall with a single door and sections resembling corrugated glass or curtains. The artwork resembles the style of David Hockney, embodying simplicity and tranquility characteristic of modern pop art.

A Daydream—A Reflection of Mexico

Kevin MacDonald, David Adamson Gallery · 1983 · color lithograph on wove paper ·  Accession ID  2015.19.2901

The image shows a view from slightly above, showcasing multiple house rooftops. The horizon is not visible, with the focus on the arrangement of buildings against a sky transitioning from light beige to subtle pink. The technique appears to use smooth brushstrokes or shading, creating a clean, flat appearance. The color palette consists of muted earthy tones like grays, whites, browns, and greens. The prominent building is a red-brick house with a white gable and green-and-white-striped awning. Other houses have roofs in shades of grey and sienna, with a chimney on one of them. The scene has a simple and serene feel due to the lack of detailed brushwork.
