    The image shows an upper-body portrait of a man seated with his body turned slightly to the side, but his face directed towards the viewer. The man has a long face and a prominent nose, featuring a beard that is pointed and styled downward. His hair is mostly covered by a cap, suggesting it is short. He is wearing a high-collared top with a wide, pleated ruff collar that extends outward. His clothing appears to be formal, with a richly ornamented garment featuring embroidery at the chest area. He holds a book in one hand close to his chest, and on the chest, there is a prominent medallion hanging from a ribbon. The background is ornate, set within an oval frame, with decorative elements including floral motifs and scrolls surrounding the portrait. The name "IOSEPHVS" and "EXONIENSIS" appear on the border of the oval frame. Various architectural and geometric designs also adorn the surrounding border and lower portion of the frame.
