Highbaugh, Sr., L. LeRoy

Biography

L. Leroy Highbaugh and his son, L. LeRoy, Jr., discovered a painting by charles Willson Peale in a house in Louisville, KY in the late 1950s/early 1960s. He lent, and eventually donated, the painting to the Stetson University Law College in Florida. This painting is now in the collection of the NGA (1984.2.1).
