Hawkins, Augustus Fielding

Biography

Augustus Fielding Hawkins was born in Kentucky in 1798. He later became president of the Northern Bank of Kentucky, which was chartered in 1833-1834. His first wife, Harriot Leavy, died in 1840. Hawkins died in Lexington in 1876 at the age of seventy-eight. (Kelly et al. 1996, 387)
