Hosack, Nathaniel Pendleton

Biography

Nathaniel Pendelton Hosack [1806-1877] was the son of physician David Hosack [1769-1835], a distinguished surgeon and teacher. To the historian, David Hosack is best remembered as the attending physician of the Burr-Hamilton duel in 1802, after which he pronounced Hamilton dead. Nathaniel married Sophia Church [d.1891]; they had no children.
