Leclanché, Maurice

French, 1847 - 1921

Son of Léopold Leclanché and Eugénie de Villenueve and brother of engineer Georges Leclanché [1839-1882], who invented a battery which bears his name. Maurice Leclanché directed the business after his brother's death. Maurice was a great friend and collector of the impressionists.
