This is a drawing of four scenes involving soldiers and horses. The artwork consists of four distinct scenes divided in a two-by-two grid. In the two upper panels, chaotic and crowded scenes can be observed with figures and horses in various dynamic poses, as well as some architectural elements and foliage. Text written in a language with a Germanic appearance is present above these panels. In the two lower panels, there are groups of soldiers, some on horseback, gathered on what appears to be a battlefield. The scenes depict a sense of movement and preparation among the troops. The sky is full of clouds, which are etched delicately behind the lines of soldiers and horses. Each panel includes a small text description at the bottom in German, providing possible titles or narration for each scene. The lines and shading appear finely detailed, indicating a classic etching technique.
