The image shows a wet city street at twilight or early evening. Car headlights move towards the viewer, creating a sense of motion. Tall, dark buildings obscure the horizon and lead away into the distance like a canyon. The sky is a bright, overcast glow above the buildings. The scene is monochromatic with deep blacks and grays dominating, and lighter tones reflecting in the wet road. The photograph captures a gritty, urban atmosphere with doorways and windows mostly in shadows, adding a moody quality. Beyond the intersection, dim and vague hints of city life can be seen, contributing to a sense of urban anonymity.

A single handrail runs along the left side guiding the path to the door at the top. The sculpture features the face of a man with a mustache, strong facial features, and curly hair framing his face. The upper part of the sculpture includes a headdress or helmet with a stylized animal motif, possibly a lion's head with an open mouth. The face is serious and frontal, and beneath the chin, there are decorative elements resembling clusters of fruits or rounded objects. The material seems to be stone, apparent from its rough, weathered texture and monochromatic hue in the black and white photograph. A human hand is visible at the lower left for scale, indicating the sculpture's size. The stone surface shows a mix of smooth and rough areas, highlighting the sculpture's intricate details.
