The sculpture is a round medallion featuring the profile of a man. He is depicted in side profile facing left, wearing a cap and ornate garment. The medallion is made of dark brown material, likely bronze, with an aged patina. Engraved text around the outer edge reads "INNOCENTIVS XI P M." The figure is presented in relief, with intricate detailing on the garment, including patterns resembling fabric embroidery. The man's face shows specific expressions and features. The appearance conveys a classical style typical of historical medallions featuring dignitaries or religious leaders.

The sculpture features two central human figures within an ovular frame. One figure is an older man standing upright, holding a dagger or knife in his raised hand against a backdrop of clouds and sky that reveal a smaller winged figure. The older man stands beside a younger kneeling figure on an altar. Surrounding them are elements from nature such as trees and a landscape. The sculpture is made of a bronze-like material with a shiny, reflective surface and subtle color variations. The figures and details stand out in relief from the background.
