    This painting shows a green landscape with a horizon line in the upper third. In the center, a tall dark green tree rises up against the pale blue sky. The tree appears to cast a reflection or shadow on the green landscape below it. Surrounding this dark reflection of the tree, several indistinct shapes seem to overlay the green space. Some ae in lighter shapes of green or cream and look like small shrubs or leaves. Near the bottom right corner, there are more shapes that have some identifiable characteristics: the green profile of a man's face, the cream-and-green knees and hand of a person, the small body of a person in an orange garment, and a section of draped blue cloth. These shapes are all placed together, but they do not make a cohesive scene.
