Guye, Vincent
Vincent Guye was the brother of Nicolas Guye [1773-1845], a Napolonic general in Spain and governor of Seville. Vincent and his son Victor lived in Madrid, returning to France in 1813. Nicolas commissioned his own portrait and one of his nephew Victor from Goya. Victor's portrait is now in the NGA (1956.11.1).
