Biography

Harriot Fawkener was the only daughter of Sir Everard Fawkener, Kt., who was for many years an Ambassador at the Porte. She married Edward Bouverie of Delapré Abbey, and a member of Parliament, on 30 June 1764. Bouverie was the son of Sir Jacob Bouverie, 1st Viscount Folkestone and brother of William Bouverie, 1st Earl of Radnor. The couple had three sons and four daughters. Widowed in 1810, Mrs. Bouverie married secondly in 1811 to Lord Robert Spencer [d. 1831], son of the 3rd Duke of Marlborough.
