Binning, David Monro

Scottish, 1776 - 1842


David Monro, Esq., by deed of entail, assumed the surname and arms of Binning. In 1803 he married his cousin, Sophia [d. 1806], only child and heiress of George Home, Esq., of Argaty by Jane his wife, eldest daughter and co-heir of John Monro, Esq. of Auchenbowie. They had two sons, George Home Monro and Alexander Binning Monro. Monro married again in 1813 to Isabella Blair; they had a son, Robert Blair Munro.
