Biography

The son of Capt. Samuel Sharpe Pocklington of Chelsworth Hall, Sir Robert married Catherine Frances Balgrave, eldest daughter of John Blagrave, Esq. of Watchfield, Shrivenham. After being widowed, Catherine married Sir Henry Edmund Austen of Shalford House, Surrey, in 1843.
