The image shows a knight on horseback slaying a dragon. The knight is clad in plate armor with a plumed helmet and is spearing the dragon with a long lance. The horse rears beneath the knight. The dragon has scales and a serpentine tail and is shown in a posture of forced submission beneath the horse. Stylized trees and rocky formations are in the background. The artwork is composed with fine lines and cross-hatching to delineate form and texture.
