Artist, German, 1844 - 1900

The image depicts a sketch of two people sitting, likely showing them from the waist up. One person, presumably a woman, is positioned slightly forward and facing towards the other person. Details in her facial features, such as the structure of her nose and mouth, as well as her hair, are visible. The clothing of the individuals is suggested with lines indicating the shape of loose garments fitting the period style, possibly dresses or aprons. The setting is a dim interior space, with what looks like a window behind them, allowing a bit of light to contrast against the figures. An artist's signature, "W. Luks," is visible in the lower right corner.
