Artist, American, 1912 - 1999

The image shows a view between two closely standing multi-story buildings, creating a narrow alleyway that leads to another structure in the distance. The perspective is slightly tilted, causing the buildings to appear taller as they go higher, enhancing the sense of depth. There is no visible horizon in the urban architectural setting. The closest houses have wooden siding painted pale beige with brick-red foundations, dark green gabled roofs, and various windows and electrical meters. The color palette is mostly neutral with earthy tones under a cobalt sky, indicating a clear day with strong sunlight casting shadows on the surfaces.
