This is a drawing of the phrase "BROKEN OFF." The phrase is in a bold, capitalized font labeled "Frankfurt Standard Outline" and is meant to be painted on a wall. There are annotations about varying letter sizes based on the installation site and exhibition parameters. "Herb & Dorothy Vogel - The Collection (within the context of the Nat. Gallery, USA)" is dedicated in handwritten text. The drawing is signed by "Kendall Viney" and dated "1983," suggesting it is a conceptual layout for an art installation.

Study for "BROKEN OFF"

Lawrence Weiner · 1993 · aluminum paint, pen and black ink and graphite on tissue paper ·  Accession ID  2007.6.342

This is a photograph of a wall with a text-based artwork. The artwork features large, bold blue letters on a plain white wall forming a message. The message reads: "MANY THINGS PLACED HERE + THERE TO FORM A PLACE CAPABLE OF SHELTERING MANY OTHER THINGS PUT HERE + THERE." The text is organized into six lines with "HERE + THERE" repeated for emphasis. The design is minimalistic, focusing on the textual element against a white background. Wooden flooring is visible at the bottom of the image, indicating the location is likely a gallery or museum space.

The image shows a grid of repeated diagonal lines and interconnected triangles. The pattern of lines creates an abstract design, with sequences of text interspersed throughout.
