    The sculpture depicts a bearded man draped in a flowing robe, who appears to be in the act of carving or shaping with a chisel and hammer. The man is slightly hunched over a block or pedestal, indicating a connection to his work with his hands poised in action. The entire piece is constructed from a dark material. The texture of his beard and the folds of the robe are detailed. The sculpture is approximately human-sized.
