This is a drawing of three rats gathered around a trap. The drawing shows three rats labeled "HESSE," "HANOVRE," and "SAXE" in front of a large, box-shaped trap set in a barren landscape with several other rats approaching in the background. The trap is depicted with metal hoops and circular entrances. The coloring is soft, with shades of brown dominating the ground, and a pale blue sky overhead. This is in style of Honoré Daumier.
