This image depicts an archway under a large stone tower structure, viewed from a slightly elevated angle. The scene descends towards a dock area. The horizon is obscured by the towering structures, but the dock scene with sailing ships can be seen in the distance through the archway. The brushstrokes create a textured effect on the stone surfaces and figures. The color palette is muted, with grays, blues, and earthy tones. Close to us, people are gathered on steps, some seated on what appear to be large sacks or bundles, while others are moving or interacting. Further back, beyond the archway, boats are visible, populated with figures engaged in activity, creating a lively harbor scene.
