Artist, French, 1824 - 1898

This painting shows three women displayed from head to toe. They are standing in a group, facing each other, with their bodies slightly inclined inward. The brushstrokes in the painting are wide and fluid, and women have no visible facial features. They appear to have dark hair underneath hats with blue ribbons. Their clothing consists of long dresses with voluminous skirts. The woman in the center wears a vibrant red shawl over her shoulders, while the other dresses are in muted tones of blue and gray. The background is a plain beige-gray color, and the ground is gray.
