The image shows a pastoral scene with a gently sloping terrain leading to a body of water. A wooden boat is moored at the shore. An old rustic building with a bell tower is on the left surrounded by sparse trees and figures engaged in daily activities. Further away, there is a serene body of water dotted with small boats and a flag-bearing ship. The horizon is placed towards the upper third of the image. A larger structure is seen on a hill overlooking the water. The brushstrokes are detailed with an emphasis on line work. The color palette consists of soft pastel shades of browns, blues, and greens creating a calm visual atmosphere.
