Overview: 17 works on paper depicting archaeological finds at Herculaneum, first excavated in 1738, and Pompeii, first excavated in 1748, were shown in this National Gallery of Art Library installation, presented in conjunction with the exhibition Pompeii and the Roman Villa: Art and Culture around the Bay of Naples.
Organization: The installation was organized by the National Gallery of Art.
