Catherine Southwick is curatorial associate in the department of American and British paintings at the National Gallery of Art, where she conducts collection and exhibition research. Southwick has held previous positions at the Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts (CASVA) and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. She has contributed to Nineteenth-Century Art Worldwide and Women in the Arts.
