But now, with the help of artificial intelligence, those sensations come to life. Using A.I. technology, you can experience the wonder of Sargent’s encounters with Carmen Dauset Moreno (aka La Carmencita). When Sargent saw La Carmencita for the first time, he was captivated. The artist was struck by her confidence and the vibrancy of her wardrobe. He was so inspired, in fact, he asked the famous flamenco dancer to pose for a painting in his studio. And thus, La Carmencita was forever immortalized in paint. The exhibition Sargent and Spain was on view in our West Building October 2, 2022 through January 2, 2023.
