The Renaissance in the North Exhibition Trailer

This visual feast of works recently added to the National Gallery collection introduces the creative genius and extraordinary skill of artists and printmakers who shaped the Northern Renaissance. From small allegorical compositions intended for private contemplation to huge, multisheet woodcuts made to decorate public spaces, these engravings, etchings, and woodcuts highlight the immense creativity and technical skill of the graphic artists working north of the Alps. The Renaissance in the North: New Prints and Perspectives was on view July 3 – November 27, 2022.
