Located along Pennsylvania and Constitution Avenues NW between 3rd and 9th Streets, the National Gallery of Art is free to all visitors and open seven days a week.

COVID-19 Safety Measures

Face Masks

All visitors ages 2 and up, regardless of vaccination, are required to wear masks indoors. Masks are not required in the Sculpture Garden, except inside the Pavilion Café.

Proof of Vaccination

In accordance with DC mandate, to dine indoors visitors ages 12 and up must show proof of vaccination beginning January 21. 

Indoor dining will be available inside the Cascade Café on the Concourse and in the Sculpture Garden Pavilion Café. The Pavilion Café also offers to-go orders for all visitors, regardless of vaccination. Learn more.

East Building Update

The East Building will temporarily close to the public from February 28 until June 2022 for renovation work. Learn more about the renovations.
