The text humorously claims that the stones and plates have been effaced, with printers and curators shipped off. It is dedicated to "those brave, heroic, unchicken people!" and includes several signatures at the bottom. On the right is a green-toned illustration of a character in clothing resembling a historical figure, with an elaborate hat, rendered in a pointillism technique.
