The image shows a riverside scene from a sideways perspective, depicting both banks of the waterway. The horizon line is low, spanning the width of the image with vague outlines of structures and trees. The sketch uses soft, loose pencil strokes to suggest forms and depth. The color palette is limited to shades of grey in a black and white medium. Closest to us, undulating lines represent the river banks, with boats and structures depicted with darker, defined strokes. Further away, outlines of buildings and trees gradually fade, blending into the light sky, emphasizing the panoramic view.
