The horizon line is not distinct due to the abstract style. Trees and buildings suggest it lies beyond the main structures. The woodcut technique used features bold lines with white spaces, creating a dynamic, textural effect. The monochromatic palette consists of intense blacks and stark whites, enhancing shadow and light interplay. Faint, ghostly figures are visible, including one in a dress and hat. In the distance, there are additional structures and a suggestion of a sky.
